about good1 & its community

Background

Once upon a time, Ellisway worked for Ninjatune. Doing the computers. Running the network. Helping with the constant challenges of broadcasting PirateTV, a regular pioneering live multimedia jam on the net long before YouTube hit the scene. Radiohead, Dreadzone, Mixmaster Morris, Youth, Steinsky, Kid Koala featured, amongst others.

As a gift for all of his hard labour, dedication, sweat & pizza consumption in the line of duty, Matt Black (one half of Coldcut & founding father of Ninjatune & PirateTV) donated the domain Good1.com to Ellisway, who became the proud father of a 10 stone baby Good1. Oversized from birth, Good1 was never likely to be anything less than huge. And, to be honest, it's turned out to be more of a monster than anyone could have possibly forseen..

Since then, Good1 has become a hub of community-oriented activity, a provider of a variety of services, an ad-hoc consultancy, a online community hang out, and the reluctant recipient of many, many, virtual ASBOs.
